Girls Education in Mali.

Creating new pathways to education in conflict-affected areas.
In Mali, more than 30 percent of girls will never go to school. Basic education is often lost along with other basic rights as armed conflict increases in the northern and central regions of the country.
DÉFI is reducing barriers to learning through innovative strategies, such as interactive radio programs, and providing direct support to vulnerable families and communities affected by conflict.
In collaboration with Farm Radio International, Catholic Relief Services and Education International, Alinea supports schools, regional and local authorities, communities and families to enable out-of-school girls and boys to access quality education in a safe and inclusive environment – in line with Canada’s FIAP.
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) was founded in 1943 by the Catholic Bishops of the United States to serve World War II survivors in Europe. Since then, we have expanded in size to reach more than 130 million people in more than 100 countries on five continents.
